Apogee Corporation’s Sarah Uddin wins at the Women in Sales Awards (WISA)

Apogee Corporation’s Sarah Uddin won the award for Best Customer Service Director in Europe at the Women In Sales Awards.

MAIDSTONE, UK, 14/12/22

Apogee Corporation were represented at this year’s Women In Sales Awards (WISA) by Sarah Uddin, who won the award for Best Customer Service Director in Europe.

Also representing Apogee were finalists Lyndsey Corby (Customer Service Executive category), Katy Sykes (Sales Support category), and Sarah Walters (Field Sales category).

The winners were announced during the Women in Sales Awards ceremony at The Landmark London Hotel on Thursday 8th December 2022.

“I’m very humbled and proud to have won in a category full of amazing women!” says Sarah Uddin. “It sounds really cliché, but this award is for everyone within Apogee who works hard to deliver amazing service for our customers.”

“I couldn't have won without everyone's support in consistently striving to achieve service excellence. Being part of the Women in Sales awards this year has been an amazing experience alongside our other finalists Sarah Walters, Lyndsey Corby, and Katy Sykes, and one that I hope to help others be a part of in years in come.”

“We have amazing women across the business that truly deserve recognition for all their hard work and commitment.” Sarah continues. “I've been overwhelmed by the support and messages I've received, so a huge thank you from me.”

Having just completed its 9th year, The Women In Sales Awards is hosted by Zars Media; a firm dedicated to promoting the accomplishments of women in business. By encouraging women to enter a traditionally male-dominated field like sales, Zars hopes to diversify the talent pool for modern businesses.

WISA received over 500 nominations this year from companies such as Ricoh, Verizon, Salesforce, American Express, Barclaycard, Virgin Media, and Adobe, among others. 170 finalists were then selected between 22 categories; with the final winners being chosen based on criteria such as attitude, skills, process, knowledge, commercial acumen, and the ability to achieve targets.

“The awards night was just incredible! To be in a room full of so many talented female salespeople was such an honour,” says Apogee’s Director of Inside Sales, Laura Bradley-Carter, who was also a WISA judge for the Inside Sales Executive Award.

“I’m so pleased for Sarah Uddin, who won in her category, and to Sarah Walters, Lyndsey Corby, and Katy Sykes – you are winners in all our eyes! I’d like to thank WISA for having me as a judge for the second year, and look forward to next year’s celebrations.”

"Sarah and her team contribute heavily to Apogee's success, and for her to receive recognition from the Women In Sales Awards is an excellent accomplishment," says Carl Day, Apogee's Chief Sales Officer.

"But for Katy, Lyndsey, and Sarah to qualify as finalists in their fields - especially considering the competition - shows the positive impact a diverse sales team can have on a company."
