Apogee’s Commitment to Diversity and Inclusivity

This time last year, we launched our very first statement on our commitment to diversity and inclusion as an organisation. In the last 12 months, I am proud to say that we have already made progress in this area.

Apogee has made a conscious effort to introduce campaigns focused on the importance of equality, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace. Of particular note are our Conversations for Change campaigns, which have had some great successes in the first year of launching.

In addition, we have invested heavily in Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion training this year, from mental health training for employees and managers to bullying, harassment, and discrimination and equality, diversity and inclusion training for all people managers in Apogee. We will also be launching equality, diversity, and inclusion awareness training for all employees later this year.

At Apogee, we want everyone to feel that they can be themselves and thrive within the workplace, in every country, and in everything we do every day. This can only be achieved by providing a workplace culture characterised by inclusive everyday behaviours and built on a foundation of respect and appreciation for diversity in all its forms. Apogee stands against systemic bias, racism, and unequal treatment. We take seriously our responsibility to listen, learn and lead the change we wish to see in not only the workplace but also the world.

Two of our core values - inclusivity and diversity - are woven into our people and are an integral part of our company core values. We firmly believe ‘Team Apogee’ must live and breathe the same passion and desire to make a positive contribution and genuinely understand the meaning of these values and the benefits they deliver to themselves, our clients, and society.

We will continue to raise awareness of our efforts to become the best we can be, whilst educating ourselves on how to create a more diverse and inclusive culture. We believe we are taking the right steps to help make a positive contribution to society and we are excited for what our future holds.

Fostering a culture of diversity, equality and inclusion has been integral to Apogee’s success but our work is far from done. We are continuing to break down barriers within Apogee by advancing equality, social justice, and support for our communities. It’s not just the right thing to do. It also makes us a stronger, more innovative, and better aligned with our clients’ values.
– Apogee CEO Aurelio Maruggi
