In partnership with the Marine Conservation Society, Apogee volunteers have once again helped to keep the UK’s beaches clean in Kent and Lincolnshire.
The 2018 GDPR legislation and the potentially catastrophic fines that will enforce it has put every organisation under pressure. As the deadline draws closer and closer, companies who have not began to make efforts to comply to the new strict data protection regulations are already finding themselves short of time and lacking in direction on how to proceed.
Inevitably, there will be a last minute rush from organisations to attempt to meet GDPR standards before penalties of up to €20 million or 4% of global annual turnover for the preceding financial year, whichever is the greater, are handed out.
Unfortunately, there is no one-size fits all solution. Apogee work with organisations to develop tailored strategies for GDPR compliance, based on their current data management and processes and future data activities. A variety of tactics can be employed in order to work towards GDPR compliance, including: data mapping, data life cycle scoping, defining data sets and undertaking structured data searches.
