Apogee sponsors ‘Shaun in the Heart of Kent’

Apogee Corporation is sponsoring the 2024 Heart of Kent Hospice ‘Shaun the Sheep’ art trail, as part of their continued investment in the local community.

03/08/2023, Maidstone, UK

Apogee Corporation is proud to sponsor a sculpture in the ‘Shaun in the Heat of Kent’ art trail, in support of Heart of Kent Hospice.

The free art trail will take place in Maidstone and the surrounding areas in the summer of 2024, and will feature up to 50 individually designed large Shaun sculptures, accompanied by a flock of little Shauns.

The temporary tourist attraction will enable visitors to explore the area’s parks and streets, while encouraging them to spend more time outdoors as they walk the trail.

“We are pleased to welcome Apogee as a new sculpture sponsor on our Shaun in the Heart of Kent art trail and are delighted to work with them to support their continued investment in the local community.

We are excited to be working in partnership together with other local businesses as well as schools and community groups to bring colour, joy and conversation to Maidstone during the summer of 2024."
– Erica Snow, Project Manager

The sculptures will be individually designed and painted by local and national artists, and will be auctioned at the end of the trail to raise money for the Hospice.

As well as providing a boost to the local economy, the campaign will unite local businesses, schools, community groups, and creative sectors to highlight the area's best assets; inspire civic pride amongst residents; and support the Heart of Kent Hospice with much-needed awareness and funds.

“We're always looking for ways to support the community local to our head office in Maidstone, so partnering with the Heart of Kent felt like a great opportunity to give back."

"We're very proud to be involved in the 'Shaun the Sheep' campaign - it's a really innovative way to bring together the local community, while raising awareness of the incredibly important work that takes place at the Hospice every single day."

– Dom Gryszan, Director of Marketing

Thanks to the trail, the Hospice’s Learning and Community programme will celebrate diversity and creativity. By working with local schools and community groups, it can create a platform for the Hospice to talk to people of all ages within the local community about death and dying, and how they support families that are facing the challenges of living with a terminal illness.

This partnership is part of Apogee’s drive to support community-based projects in Kent, as well as other areas around the UK and Ireland, to positively impact its local communities.
