Apogee wins ‘Innovation within Education of the Year’ at CPC Supplier Excellence Awards 2025
Apogee’s partnership with the University of Kent has received recognition for a transformative approach to digital services in higher education.
Maidstone, UK, 27/06/2025 - Apogee Corporation has been presented with the ‘Innovation within Education of the Year’ award at the CPC Supplier Excellence Awards 2025, in recognition of its transformational work with the University of Kent.
The CPC Supplier Excellence Awards celebrate outstanding performance, innovation, and collaboration within CPC's education-focused supply chain, with the 2025 ceremony taking place at the Hilton Manchester Deansgate on Thursday 26th June.
This award honours Apogee's transformative approach to providing the University of Kent with print and digital services, which have delivered measurable impact across sustainability, cost-efficiency, and service delivery in the educational landscape.
As a leading UK higher education institution, the University of Kent sought to implement an innovative solution to enhance the experience for all staff and students throughout the campus. By partnering with Apogee, they delivered a full-scale transformation of the University’s print and IT infrastructure, providing a comprehensive end-to-end solution that was completely reimagined for the post-Covid world.
At the heart of this transformation was the closure of the University’s internal print room, in favour of utilising Apogee’s Outsourced Document Services (ODS) facility in London. This strategic move allowed the University to reallocate valuable estate space and redeploy staff to more strategic roles.
The partnership has already delivered measurable benefits, including:
- Operational efficiency: Streamlined service delivery and improved use of campus space.
- Cost predictability: Device as a Service (DaaS) model enabled long-term budgeting with reduced capital outlay.
- Sustainability: Deployment of energy-efficient HP devices and use of electric vehicles for on-site service delivery.
- Enhanced student support: Improved device availability and responsive on-site technical support.
With a service model that includes everything from desktop management to branded merchandise printing, Apogee has become a scalable, single-source partner for the University's evolving needs.
The relationship also extends beyond traditional supplier arrangements. Apogee is part of the University of Kent's Employability Scheme, taking on summer interns and delivering workshops to students. This holistic approach demonstrates Apogee's commitment to the wider educational community.
This award recognition reinforces Apogee's position as a leading innovator in managed workplace services and digital transformation within the education sector, demonstrating their commitment to delivering solutions that create lasting value for partners and their communities.
