Apogee has been named Apprentice Employer of the Year at the Greater Lincolnshire Apprenticeship and Skills Awards 2026, recognising the organisation’s exceptional commitment to developing future talent through its apprenticeship programme.
The awards, delivered in partnership by Lincolnshire County Council and key regional organisations, celebrate excellence in skills development and apprenticeship delivery across Greater Lincolnshire. Winners are selected for demonstrating a strong commitment to professional and personal development, alongside meaningful impact through skills programmes.
James Clark, CEO at Apogee Corporation, said: “I am immensely proud of what Apogee and our apprentices have achieved over recent years through our industry-leading programme. This reflects a long-term investment in diverse talent that mirrors our customer base, enabling Apogee to deliver exceptional, customer-first outcomes while building a strong pipeline of future talent."
The Apprentice Employer of the Year Award specifically recognises organisations that provide high-quality support, meaningful training opportunities and clear progression pathways, while fostering an inclusive environment where apprentices can thrive and build long-term careers.
Liz Hollamby, People & Culture Business Partner at Apogee, commented: “This award is a testament to the dedication we place on nurturing early careers talent and creating opportunities for individuals to grow, succeed and build meaningful careers with Apogee. Our apprenticeship programmes are designed to provide not only technical expertise, but also the confidence and support apprentices need to realise their full potential.”
Apogee’s success reflects the strength of its apprenticeship offering, particularly its Field Service Technician Apprenticeship, which provides hands-on experience in IT and engineering. Delivered in partnership with Lincoln & Newark College, the two-year programme enables apprentices to gain a Level 3 qualification while developing real-world skills such as diagnosing and repairing faults, installing and servicing IT equipment, and delivering excellent customer service across a variety of sectors.
Through a combination of structured training, mentoring and on-the-job experience, Apogee ensures apprentices are supported at every stage of their journey, with clear opportunities to progress into long-term roles within the business.
Andy Frith, Advanced Technical Hardware Consultant at Apogee and overall programme mentor, said: “Stepping into this for the first time brought its challenges, but seeing our collective hard work recognised at this level is fantastic. As a mentor, I've watched us fine-tune our approach in real-time, translating those lessons into practical skills and genuine confidence for our apprentices. This success proves that our willingness to learn and improve is paving the way for the next generation of industry talent."
Dan Tillman, Technical Training & MDS Workshop Manager at Apogee, added: “It’s fantastic to see the hard work of our apprentices and the teams who support them recognised at this level. As a mentor, I see first-hand how impactful these programmes are – from developing practical skills to building confidence and preparing individuals for long-term success. We are committed to continuing to invest in the next generation of talent and helping them thrive within our industry.”
The award win underscores Apogee’s ongoing commitment to investing in people, building future skills, and contributing to the growth and success of local communities through high-quality apprenticeship opportunities.
