Apogee returns to support Royal British Legion Industries’ ‘Rudolph Fun Run’
18 December 2024Apogee Corporation Spreads Christmas Cheer to NHS Trusts
Apogee Corporation once again gave back to local communities this Christmas through their NHS Christmas Gift Campaign.
For the second consecutive year, Apogee delivered Christmas cheer to children’s wards at major NHS Trusts across the UK, reinforcing their commitment to supporting healthcare organisations and the communities they serve.
Apogee visited five NHS Trusts this year, bringing Christmas gifts and toys to children receiving care at each hospital. The campaign supported the Royal Surrey County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Our Bolton NHS Charity at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust, Alder Hey Children’s Charity, Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust, and the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust Charity.
“On behalf of Our Bolton NHS Charity and all at The Royal Bolton Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and gratitude for the wonderful generosity Apogee have again shown with today’s donation of Christmas gifts for our young patients on our E5 Children’s Unit.
The impact of this donation will again, no doubt, be greatly positive for our young patients as they spend Christmas in hospital under our care, and away from their loved ones.”
– Abdul Goni, Our Bolton NHS Charity
Apogee’s donations included a variety of gifts, ranging from early-development sensory toys to dolls, puzzles, construction toys, and games. These gifts were carefully selected to bring joy to children spending Christmas in hospital. Apogee employees personally delivered the gifts to ensure they arrived in time for the festive season.
“We are so incredibly grateful to Apogee for their continued support of MTW Hospitals Charity.
The presents that they have donated to our children’s wards will ensure that we can bring a smile to the faces of those who unfortunately find themselves in hospital over Christmas and the New Year.
Apogee always put the needs of their local community first and we are always grateful to them for their support of the charity not just at Christmas time but throughout the year.”
– Claire Ashby, Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust
Each of the charities supported works tirelessly to create brighter and friendlier environments for young patients, offering a welcome distraction from their treatment and ensuring families can support one another during challenging times.
“We are so grateful for the kind donation of gifts for the children on the ward. It means the children that have to stay in hospital have presents to open on Christmas day.
Thank you for making a massive difference to their experience and wellbeing whilst in hospital."– Emma Lewis, Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust
“The donation will make a huge difference to our patients here at Alder Hey, particularly over the festive period.
Our Play Team are immensely grateful for the generosity Apogee have shown and will help provide the Magic that makes Alder Hey so special.”– Nicola Williams, Alder Hey Children’s Charity
Reflecting on the campaign, Dom Gryszan, Director of Marketing at Apogee Corporation, said: "There's something truly magical about bringing Christmas joy to children in hospital, and our teams at Apogee feel privileged to play a small part in making their day brighter. Supporting our local NHS Trusts and the incredible work they do in our communities means so much to us, especially when it comes to helping their youngest patients. We're proud to support these brave young patients and their families during the holiday season."
This campaign highlights Apogee’s ongoing drive to support and positively impact local and wider communities throughout the UK and Ireland.
