The Background

Following the acquisition of Tenon the print environment needed to be quickly rationalised as each company had conflicting equipment, software, and service agreements. The inherited fleet required updating if it was to meet the needs of the combined businesses.

RSM needed to find economies of scale, and a supplier who could provide ongoing support for all hardware and software. There was also a very small window for implementation and roll out across multiple locations around the UK.


The Solution

A rapid assessment of the fleet quickly revealed that the existing devices would not be suitable to meet the company’s needs. Apogee immediately started to identify suitable hardware and software.

With severely restricted timescales, Apogee managed a rapid project implementation of 170 devices that would complement the equipment that could be retained. Solutions for tracking costs and improving security were also included.


The Outcome

With 170 new multifunction devices installed at 39 UK locations and a number of suitable machines retained, RSM now has a single, seamless Managed Print Service solution. With powerful software, the company is now able to track and allocate print costs and usage for individual use.

Print Management software has been introduced to improve security, and RSM is also benefitting from a dedicated account management team, bespoke SLAs and national service coverage.
