Apogee’s Christmas Charity raises over £3700 for Crisis UK

With thanks to their ever-popular Christmas Charity Advent Calendar, employees of Apogee raised a total of £3726 for the Crisis UK charity in December 2020.

The festive fundraiser encouraged Apogee employees to buy raffle tickets for a chance to win one of the prizes hidden behind the advent calendar doors, with at least one winner drawn at random each day of December all the way up to Christmas Eve.

Prizes, which included an Apple iPad, Luxury Festive Hampers & Virgin Experience Days, were donated from a number of key partners and suppliers enabling all money raised to go straight to Crisis UK who help those most vulnerable throughout the festive period.

Following a very challenging year for many people around the world, industry leading Managed Print and Outsourced Document Services expert Apogee, were delighted to support Crisis UK who offer support and guidance to homeless people around the UK.

People lose their homes for a variety of reasons which can quickly force them into homelessness. With the additional pressures of the Covid-19 pandemic, it was important to Apogee employees to be able to support a charity that makes such a difference during an already challenging time.

After a difficult year for many people across the UK I am especially grateful to all those who donated and supported our Christmas fundraiser this year, raising money for such an important cause.” said Dom Gryszan, Apogee’s Marketing Director. “After running two similarly successful events we set ourselves a much higher target in 2020 and managed to smash it half way through the month! It’s been a tough year without a doubt but I’m incredibly proud of Team Apogee for the amount raised and the difference it made to so many lives over the Christmas period”.

Richard Lee, Director of Fundraising at Crisis UK added, “We’re extremely grateful to everyone who gave their support at Christmas. With your help, we were able to give people a Crisis Christmas with friendship and support, food and crucial advice. Christmas is just the beginning – now we’ll be working with people throughout the year, helping them to leave homelessness behind for good.”

The £3726 raised for Crisis UK went towards helping those most vulnerable during the festive period, providing them with a Christmas dinner, gifts, and a place to stay. The efforts of the Apogee team will also enable Crisis to work with thousands of homeless people throughout 2021, providing vital help so that they can rebuild their lives and are supported out of homelessness for good.
