Apogee continues community investment with Witham United sponsorship

Apogee Corporation has become the new sponsor of Witham United football club, as part of their continued investment in the local community which is home of their National Operations Centre.

Maidstone, UK, 18/04/2023

Apogee Corporation is proud to be the new sponsor of local football team, Witham United FC.

Formerly the Witham Reserves, the team were faced with the difficult news that they did not have the funds to continue playing next season. In order to keep the team together, James Templeman, club Manager, founded Witham United and approached Apogee for sponsorship.

“The decision to support Witham United was a natural choice for us, with our National Operations Centre based close by. We are proud to support a local team and to give back to the wider community,” says Dom Gryszan, Marketing Director at Apogee Corporation.

“This is an amazing sponsorship and will massively get the club off the ground,” adds James Templeman. “As the new manager of this club, I cannot thank Apogee enough for this sponsorship; it has helped to make my dream a reality.”

For the newly-named Witham United, football is an integral part of their wider community. Recognising the positive impact that football has on mental health, the team provide light entertainment and sporting relief for Witham St Hughs residents every Sunday – and have plans for many charitable events in the future.

“Football gives the players an escape from their problems, and gives them something to look forward to during hard times”, Templeman continues. “As a club, we are here to support our team on and off of the pitch and we believe in supporting our local community. We are a family.”

“On behalf of myself and the whole team, thank you Apogee for this amazing sponsorship.”

The team have big aspirations and are hoping to achieve promotion next season, as well as reaching a cup final played at Lincoln City’s LNER stadium.

This sponsorship is part of Apogee’s wider drive to positively impact its local communities. This includes the recent sponsorship of the men’s and women’s teams of Lincoln City FC – the local club to Apogee’s National Operations Centre.
