How the evolution of Cloud Technology has encouraged business change

Throughout the past decade, Cloud technology has evolved significantly and has become a fundamental component in ‘digital transformation’ strategies for many businesses. As 66% of organisations have adopted a Cloud first strategy since 2018 what does that mean for your organisation?

Cloud Technology Surge

The COVID-19 pandemic has not only accelerated the adoption of Cloud processes within many organisations, but has also made it possible for users to keep the lines of communication open whilst accessing critical documents. This process, now done via the Cloud was previously only available physically or ‘offline’, really demonstrating how Cloud technologies play a huge role in remote working.

Over the years demand for Cloud services has continued to grow. Evolving technology has meant that employee work patterns have changed over time meaning employees are no longer bound to working from a single desktop, yet instead they are able to work wirelessly via multiple devices and Cloud systems.

It’s not just computational power, networking speed, or storage capacity that makes cloud computing great. Those are just operational metrics that better technology would eventually change and replace over time. The real value of technology is what it does, not what it’s made of.
