21/12/23 - Maidstone, UK
Apogee Corporation were pleased to give back to local communities this Christmas with their NHS Christmas Gift Campaign.
Apogee visited four major NHS Trusts across the UK this year, delivering Christmas gifts and toys to children’s wards at each hospital.
The campaign supported the Evelina London Children’s Charity at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Foundation Trust in London, Our Bolton NHS Charity at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust, RUHX Charity at Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust, and the Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust Charity.
The toys donated make a huge difference to the joy the Play Team can spread over the festive
period to those patients who have to stay in hospital over Christmas and offers something above and beyond what the NHS can provide.
– Hannah Ali, Community Fundraising Team at Evelina London Children's Charity
Each charity strives to make the hospitals feel brighter and friendlier, giving children a welcome relief from their treatment. The charities welcome the support of the local community to invest in additional equipment and services, and ultimately provide a space for families to support each other.
We know how important distractions, such as toys and games, can be for our young patients who are staying in hospital, particularly during festive holidays.
We are so grateful to Apogee for their generous donation of Christmas gifts and we look forward to sharing them with our young patients staying in the children’s unit.
– Abdul Goni, Charity Engagement Coordinator, Our Bolton NHS Charity
The Christmas gifts donated by Apogee ranged from early-development sensory toys, to dolls, puzzles, construction toys, games and more. Each batch of gifts were delivered to the charity by Apogee employees, in order to personally ensure they arrived in time for Christmas.
We are so humbled by the support of our local community for our youngest patients during the festive season. Apogee's kind and selfless gifts will help to brighten the days of the children and their families who find themselves in Hospital over Christmas.
– Claire Ashby, Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust
The Children’s Emergency Department at the RUH are so very happy to receive the wonderful toy donations from Apogee. The toys will be given out to children who are visiting the department on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, keeping their spirits up! They will really make a difference. Thank you Apogee for your generosity!
