The popular Rudolph Fun Run raises vital funds for RBVE, enabling them to continue their important work supporting Armed Forces veterans and creating inclusive employment opportunities in the local community. The event also brings people together, encouraging participants and attendees to become part of a wider network of support and solidarity.
Held at Leybourne Lakes in Kent on Sunday 14 December, the event features both a 2.5km family-friendly route and a 5km chip-timed run, catering to families and runners of all abilities.
“We are extremely proud to support RBVE’s Rudolph Fun Run for the third consecutive year. The event is a fantastic way to support the community local to our head office in Maidstone, while raising awareness of Armed Forces veterans and their families. Plus, it is always a great bit of festive fun!”
– Marion Brooks, Chief People Officer at Apogee
RBVE has been helping those in need for more than 100 years, providing support to Armed Forces veterans and their families, primarily those with disabilities and those facing unemployment. The RBVE Village in Aylesford, Kent, is the largest veteran village of its kind in the UK, which combines homes with employment, care, and community.
“We are thrilled to have Apogee’s continued support for RBVE’s Rudolph Fun Run. This partnership goes far beyond festive fun, it helps us raise vital funds to continue our mission of creating jobs, providing homes, and building communities for veterans and their families. With Apogee by our side, we can ensure that those who have served are supported with opportunities to thrive in life.”
-Paula Ray, Assistant Director of Fundraising at RBVE
In addition to sponsoring the event, the Apogee team volunteered in RBVE’s Aylesford factory at the end of October, helping to pack Tommy merchandise sold through the RBVE shop.
Apogee’s partnership with RBVE is part of our broader commitment to supporting community-based projects in Kent and across the UK and Ireland, with the aim of making a positive impact in the areas we serve.
