Felsted school recognise the need to organise and standardise their print infrastructure. Apogee were approached for a bespoke education IT solution involving over 60 print devices across the campus.

The Background

Felsted School recognised the need to organise and consolidate their print infrastructure, and required a supplier with the capability to supply and install a standardised fleet of devices each at different locations across their 80 acre campus.

In addition to a new, standardised fleet, Felsted School wanted to put in place an effective and efficient print and document strategy to reap rewards including greater print visibility and improved experience for staff and pupils.

The Solution

After going to tender with four different companies, Felsted School decided on Apogee as their supplier of choice. As Europe’s leading provider of print, document, and process technology and outsourced services, Apogee ticked all the boxes.

Apogee’s project management team, experienced in dealing with complex, multi-site implementations, conducted a plan which included the supply and installation of 66 Ricoh devices across Felsted’s 80 acre campus. Along with the new devices, Apogee’s Professional Services team put forward a bespoke solution based on their assessments which consisted of best-of-breed print management software to deliver a new level of innovation and print efficiency.

The Outcome

Led by Apogee’s project management team, 66 devices consisting of three different Ricoh models were successfully installed and have provided standardisation across Felsted’s large village campus.

The installation ran smoothly with minimal disruption to the school’s staff and pupils. Felsted applauded Apogee’s project management and engineering team for their high attention to detail and professional service.

Following Apogee’s Professional Services team’s assessment, the installation of print management software has further driven efficiencies and modernised operations by allowing pupils and staff to release print jobs from any enabled output device. What’s more, Apogee’s provision of print management software also delivers complete visibility across all networked devices by user level, strengthening governance and control of printing across the entire campus.
