Senior Infrastructure Engineer – M365 Cloud

The role will report to the IT Manager responsible for all aspects of support of the organisation’s Modern Workplace end user computing leveraging M365.

As the Cloud M365 Engineer, you will be hands on, and have extensive knowledge of M365 delivery and services, including Messaging & Collaboration, Modern Endpoint Management and Cloud Security.

 

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day support of the technical delivery of M365 services and infrastructure platforms
  • Ownership and day-to-day support of Azure AD and Active Directory Domain Services
  • Internal support, management and monitoring of the M365 services
  • Undertaking or overseeing the deployment of new IT initiatives with M365 tooling into the estate, ensuring alignment with overall IT strategy and integration with other solutions
  • Engaging with stakeholders on the technical strategy and design of cloud infrastructure
    platforms and M365 to support business strategies
  • Managing and performing M365 focused upgrades and migrations
  • Promotion and direct support of M365 applications and services to the business
  • Act as an internal escalation point across 2nd/3rd line support duties
  • Provide out-of-hours escalation support as required

Person Specification

  • Experience of hybrid Active Directory and Azure AD configuration and management
  • Experience in configuring and managing Azure AD and Active Directory Domain Service
  • Experience in Intune/SCCM, Office 365, Enterprise Mobility + Security (EMS), Teams, Microsoft/Office 365 Security - Azure ATP, DLP, AIP, Azure, Group Policy, Exchange, Windows Server OS, Windows desktops
  • Experience of design and implementation of migration strategies from on premises environment to M365
  • Practical skills for provisioning and management of Azure and Microsoft 365 resources
  • Experience with building and supporting Sharepoint Online
  • Experience in compliance management within M365 (GDPR/ISO27001)
  • Strong communication and technical stakeholder engagement skills
  • Working with a team of customer-focused professionals who are committed to defining technical strategy, architecting, designing and delivering end-to-end digital transformation
  • Identifying, developing and assisting with the implementation of services to drive new revenue and achieve targets within customer focused Managed Services
  • Providing subject matter expertise on technical solutions, and act as a technical point of contact for implementation projects and in-life service delivery
  • Ensuring that services or projects are documented and delivered effectively to the agreed budget with the project manager
  • Ensuring that services or projects are delivered in accordance with business change management processes
  • Ensuring compliance with ISO 27001
  • Knowledge of core networking services: DNS, DHCP, IP Subnetting
  • Hands-on experience with Wired and Wireless networking
  • Professional certifications would be advantageous in any combination: Microsoft 365 , MCSA, MCSE
