The Background

The BVCA hosts 80+ events per year (pre-Covid-19), from conferences and forums, to dinners, breakfasts and receptions. They are able to cater to the needs of all audiences involved in the private equity and venture capital industry and as part of their delivery, they pride themselves on the quality of their events.

In order to maintain their standard of events, the industry body were searching for a reliable outsource design partner that could work alongside their team to inject a flair of creativity into their offerings. In turn, this would differentiate them from the competition and allow them to introduce a wider focus to their CSR commitments as a company.

The Solution

Apogee’s creative team came up with the idea of printing directly onto ice which gave the Gala Dinner a real festive feel and set the tone for the event, whilst providing the ultimate ‘wow factor’ for guests.

Beyond the Gala Dinner, the BVCA also lean on Apogee to outsource other types of collateral such as ‘Gold Foil’ event invitations which were created and delivered to locations in the Middle East over the festive period. To fulfil these requirements, Apogee work with the BVCA’s immediate team, venue’s and AV providers to create the finished piece.

Following this, Apogee showcased a number of innovative solutions recently delivered to other clients, including transitioning from traditional Litho print (which the BVCA were previously using) to Digital print. This came with an array of benefits including a modernised process involving complex computing and a guaranteed high quality solution.

The Outcome

As well as Apogee being able to offer a stress-free and high quality creative consultancy service to the BVCA, they have gone on to utilise the Outsourced Print services offering that Apogee provide to clients. From printing corporate collateral such as report books which typically consist of 80+ pages and 200+ copies with less than a one week turnaround period, to helping the BVCA and their suppliers give an event the complete ‘wow factor’, the BVCA recognised Apogee’s creative consultancy capabilities in delivering a high standard of work.
