Battle of the South - Youngsters 1-0 Oldies
After the success of our recent staff football match in Doncaster between our northern offices, the guys in the south went head to head at the home of Maidstone United with the Youngsters again taking home the trophy after a very tight 1-0 victory.
The teams were made up of staff from various departments and offices in what proved to be a very entertaining evening, with a real mix of footballing ability on show it was great to see everyone work together and fight right to the final whistle. As the ‘Oldies’ started suffering from cramp and a few niggles all over the pitch, the ‘Youngsters’ began to dominate possession and ground out a very competitive win. It was great to see so many people get involved and play a full 90 minutes!
A huge thank you must go out to all players who put in a really good shift in what was a great game, and a big shout out to all those who came along to watch – we appreciate the support! Well done everyone for taking part, we look forward to the rematches next year!
