Efficient print management solution provided cost savings of up to 30% from implementation of PaperCut software.
The Background
The English Football League (EFL) has been a client of Apogee’s over the past few years, providing them with a standard fleet of Ricoh devices for their original print needs.
Over the years, not only has the EFL grown to be the largest single body of professional clubs in EU football, their employee base has grown hugely, as well as the importance and need to print efficiently whilst keeping all documentation of extremely high importance and of a confidential nature.
As the EFL continued to grow they needed to expand their fleet of devices alongside the growth of their organisation. Due to the nature of their work, security and efficiency are key drivers for the club and clear objectives for Apogee to achieve within the following proposed solution.
The Solution
Apogee suggested consolidating the EFL’s fleet of Ricoh devices down from four standard agreements into one all inclusive Managed Service Agreement alongside a new, modern print management software which would help kick start them on their journey to print management. This new tailored agreement, created for the EFL, supplied both the Preston and London locations with PaperCut print management software which essentially allows them to have full control and visibility over their printing needs and habits.
The EFL’s aim was to minimise and control their costs whilst managing the amount of print jobs going through their fleet.The PaperCut software did just that, by allowing them to control their spend, pinpoint print volumes to specific users and / or departments and the implementation of Secure Print Release meaning user authentication is required before the print job is released from the queue.
The Outcome
The print management solution implemented was key for the EFL in ensuring total security and confidentiality of their print jobs. As well as the two player transfer deadlines in October and January of each year, the EFL are continuously printing invoices, security documents and other confidential information - it is of the up most importance that these documents stay with the intended user, giving the EFL increased data security and GDPR compliance.
Apogee also delivered a considerable cost saving of up to 30% by implementing the PaperCut print management software. By introducing this to the club, they are now able to view detailed reporting meaning the solution is slick and efficient from start to finish.
