Marketing Manager (Germany)

Apogee is looking for a dynamic, resourceful and strategic Marketing Manager to support our international growth and marketing efforts. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our Marketing activity in our European countries, working closely with our central Marketing team, whilst tailoring campaigns and communications to each country / region.

Partnering with our European leaders and their teams, this person is responsible for devising and executing the Marketing Strategy for our core regions of focus. Success will be measured using a number of metrics that consider long and short-term objectives, such as opportunity pipeline value and volume, leads created, marketing campaigns and a growing understanding of the needs of customers in this regional market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute relevant Marketing activities tailored to each region; initially focussing on Germany, Ireland, Jersey and Spain
  • Supervising and managing a regional marketing budget to optimise return on investment (ROI)
  • Manage relationship with PR agency, increasing brand awareness in each region
  • Work closely with SEO agency to maximise website performance, and in turn generate more leads for the sales teams
  • Own and execute the translation of Apogee’s website pages to relevant European languages, by working with the local commercial and operational teams and vendors
  • Implement and maintain all social media platforms and engagement
  • Drive targeted activities to help achieve European marketing objectives including; email Marketing, regional advertising, events etc.
  • Assist with regional bid and tender submissions, ensuring the response aligns with the regional strategy, whilst overseeing the translation from English to German
  • Support Market & Competitive analysis through research, segmentation, VOC etc.
  • Maximise support of Marketing Development Funding with key vendors
  • Use analytic tools to report on performance - supporting the analysis and evaluation of marketing activities to ensure key stakeholders understand the marketing performance
  • Other ad-hoc tasks set by the Marketing Director

Person Specification

  • Previous marketing experience in a similar role – ideally in a B2B environment
  • Have strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and ability to work in German and English (written and spoken)
  • Have ability to work effectively in a global team, being respectful of different cultures and being flexible to adapt (within reason) to different time zones other colleagues work in
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with other functional areas, internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating positive influencing skills to accomplish role, departmental and business objectives
  • Have ability to effectively coordinate several projects simultaneously and prioritise when required
  • Attention to detail and desire to consistently produce high quality work within deadlines
